Where do you ship from, and where do you ship to?
All orders ship from Shenzhen, China. For now, we ship to addresses in the United States only.
How much is shipping?
Orders under $79 ship for a flat $6.95. Orders of $79 or more ship free.
How long will my order take?
We order your tea from our supplier after you place your order, so processing takes 2–4 business days. Tracked international express delivery then takes 8–15 business days. In total, please allow about 10–19 business days. See our Shipping Policy for details. Order by 5:00 PM Pacific Time on a business day and processing starts the same day.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Every order ships with tracking, and we’ll email you the tracking number when your order ships.
Will I have to pay import duties or taxes?
Any import duties or taxes, if applicable, are the responsibility of the recipient.
What if my parcel is late or lost?
If your parcel seems stuck or hasn’t arrived within the estimated delivery time, email us with your order number and we’ll check with the carrier. If a parcel is confirmed lost, we’ll reship your order or refund it in full.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Email info@orienttealeaf.com as soon as possible with your order number. If your order hasn’t shipped yet, we’ll do our best to help.
Returns
My order arrived damaged, or something is wrong or missing.
We’re sorry! Email info@orienttealeaf.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the item and packaging. We’ll reship or refund, and if we need the item back, we’ll cover the return shipping.
Can I return tea?
Unopened items in their original sealed packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. You pay the return shipping, and original shipping charges are not refunded. Opened tea can’t be returned. Email us first to request a return and we’ll send you the return address. See our Returns & Refunds Policy.
When will I get my refund?
Refunds go back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days after we receive your return or approve your refund.
Tea
Do I need special equipment?
No. A mug and a strainer work fine. A gaiwan (a small lidded cup) is a fun upgrade. Our Brewing Guide covers both.
How should I store my tea?
Keep it sealed in a cool, dry place away from light, heat and strong smells. Pressed teas can stay in their paper wrap in a dry cupboard.
Do your teas contain caffeine?
Yes. All of our teas are made from the tea plant and contain caffeine. The amount varies with the tea and how you brew it.
