Dianhong is the black tea of Yunnan, made from large-leaf tea trees and known for its golden buds and a smooth, malty cup with a gentle, honey-like sweetness.
This 100 g kraft pouch is an easy way to try it. Brew 3–4 g in a gaiwan or mug with water around 90–95 °C (194–203 °F) for 2–3 minutes; the leaves can be steeped several times.
